Georgian visa rules is rather simple, all foreigners traveling to Georgia are able to obtain Georgian visas directly in the airports of Tbilisi and Batumi, or at any other border checkpoint. No formal invitation letters are needed, as well. The visas can also be obtained at the consular offices of the Georgian embassies abroad.
A passport valid for at least 3 months(ino on 27.02.2006) is required for visitors of all nationalities.
There is no visa requirement for: Nationals of Israel, Japan, Canada, United States of America and members of European Union countries. For CIS nationals except of the Russian Federation and Turkmenistan do not require a visa. All these nationals are allowed to stay for 90 days. Additionally, passengers on cruise ships which stay in a Georgian port for less than 72 hours do not require visas either.
